I'm busy learning the Python programming language as I believe this is the best way to automate openoffice.org applications. I wish to use IDEL in a similar fashion as I would use VBA when automating EXCEL. This would would assist in getting me up to speed with OpenOffice.calc. I therefore would like to be advised on the short cuts to open this application as well on how to create input and output forms. The current reference books I'm using are " Python essential reference" by David M Beazley. And " Python for Dummies" by Stef Maruch and Aahz Maruch. Hope someone out there can help. Charles.
